It’s been about a week and a half since Alexander has been home with us, and within the first few days, we have had two littles that have been sick with the flu! Ah! Talk about trying to relax and recover. It hasn’t been easy trying to care for a newborn, myself, and my two little kiddos with a fever over 100 and don’t get me started on the amount of throw up we had to clean up. I can’t thank my husband enough for being the biggest trooper and helping out with all aspects in our household, including taking care of me as well.
We have been through plenty of medicine and plenty of movies, but the one thing we have entirely relied on is our Diffuser and Essential Oils. I can’t express how important Oils have played in our household this year. Since being introduced to oils, I use them for everything. The three essential oils that we have used this week to fight this awful flu are:
On Guard Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, and Melaleuca (Tea Tree) Essential Oil.

Lavender Oil:

Lavender Oil has helped soothe and calms the kids after a long day. I put this Oil in the kid’s Diffuser during the night time, so they have a peaceful nights sleep, and will wake up the next day with a full nights rest. Which is what they need to rid of any flu-like symptoms.

On Guard Oil:

On Guard helps build your immune system and Supports the body’s natural antioxidant defenses. I apply This oil on my kid’s feet and behind their ears every day when they wake up, and it seems to help them heal faster than normal. This has been the most rapid flu yet since they only had the flu for a day (they woke up the next day, completely normal.) I still apply this oil daily, to protect them from getting sick again.

Melaleuca (Tea Tree) Oil:

I have this oil diffusing in the busiest part of our home throughout the day, as this oil is for cleansing the skin and home surfaces, purifying the air, and promoting healthy immune function to help us all feel great.
